Study: Baldness drug finasteride is tied to male sexual dysfunction
A study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that about 92% of healthy men who reported taking hair-loss drug finasteride for 28 months on average experienced erectile dysfunction and a reduction in desire and arousal. Researchers learned that the sexual problems persisted for about 40 months after study participants stopped using finasteride. The drug is marketed by Merck & Co. as Propecia and Proscar.
