Study: Heart drug digoxin raises women's risk of breast cancer
Women age 20 and older who took GlaxoSmithKline's heart medicine digoxin had about a 40% greater risk of breast cancer compared with former users and nonusers, a Danish study found. The finding does not indicate a causal relationship, and digoxin's heart benefits might still outweigh the cancer risk, researchers wrote in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Reuters
